For over ten years Best Care Community and Family Health Center has strived to make healthcare accessible for you and your family by offering affordable pricing, transportation for medicare patients, and medical house calls.  Currently serving Lee, Collier, and Palm Beach Counties, we’re not just about excellent quality family medicine; Dr. Louis and our highly trained providers and staff strive to look at the whole picture and offer healthcare options outside of traditional prescription medicine. We go the extra mile to care for you, even to your home. We provide a wide variety of services including labs and EKG on-site, physical exams for all ages, women’s health, addiction medicine, suboxone therapy, management and treatment of HIV and other STD’s.

Emlyn Louis, M.D.

Emlyn Louis, M.D.

A primary care physician with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Emlyn Louis has delivered medical care to communities across Florida no matter their ability to pay. He speaks English, Spanish, Creole, and French. As president of Best Care, he prioritizes chronic care management and maintaining a high quality of life in his patients. Dr. Louis has worked for the Florida Department of Health, the Jackson Health System, and served as medical director for private clinics and correctional facilities. “The most rewarding part of my life has been watching our practice grow and strengthen with the communities we serve.”

Awais Siddiki, M.D.

Awais Siddiki, M.D.

Dr. Awais Siddiki is a board-certified family medicine physician with a background in chronic disease management, mental health, and addiction treatment. Originally from Pakistan, he has practiced for over 15 years and worked for health systems in NY, MA, and RI before relocating here. “I’m interested in the impact of behavioral health on common illnesses. When not working my focus is on maintaining exercise and a healthy diet to keep me going.”

Carolina Pavon, APRN, FNP-BC

Carolina Pavon, APRN, FNP-BC

An alumna of Nova University, Carolina’s nursing clinical experience includes med-surgical, infectious disease, wound care, and gastroenterology. She is board-certified in family medicine and has worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She loves teaching and is part of Nova’s faculty team as an adjunct clinical professor. She is also fluent in English and Spanish. “I believe it’s our responsibility to promote healthy outcomes in the whole community, and I cherish that opportunity every day with Best Care.

Maylin Paez, APRN, AGPCNP-BC

Maylin Paez, APRN, AGPCNP-BC

Maylin is a board certified nurse practitioner specializing in Gerontology. She received her BSN at the University of West Florida and her MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her work has involved telemetry nursing, disease case management, med surge nursing, home health nursing, health advising, and health blogging. Maylin joined Best Care in 2021, where she cares for our patients both in and out of the office. In her spare time she likes to cook, sing, and spend time with the family.

Guerline Pierre, APRN, FNP-BC

Guerline Pierre, APRN, FNP-BC

Guerline Pierre, APRN, FNP-BC graduated from Chamberlain University and has over 15 years of experience in nursing. She has enjoyed working in women’s health, hospice care setting, and also with catastrophic trauma victims. Guerline places a big emphasis on patient education and preventative medicine but for fun she mostly loves travelling and learning about new cultures.

Robert Charles II, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

A doctor of nursing practice and board-certified in family medicine, Robert moved to the US from Haiti in 1999. His background spans geriatrics, internal medicine, med-surg, trauma unit, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and urgent clinic. For fun he enjoys keeping active with tennis, and is fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole. “Through a holistic approach I enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assure optimal outcomes for the patients.”

Ivon Gonzalez, APRN, FNP-BC

Hailing from Cuba and gaining her education on Florida’s east coast, Ivon Gonzalez has practiced in many disciplines including pediatrics, gastroenterology, cosmetic, and emergency medicine. Ivon loves spending time with family and exploring around her new home with us in SWFL. She also has served in the US Army National Guard. “My experience and position at Best Care allows me to provide a higher level of care management to all.”

Nick Persons, Practice Manager

After his B.S. in Biotechnology from the University of FL, Nick spent time in evolution & genetic therapies research before returning to SWFL. He now manages Best Care and has been working to improve health quality and accessibility for special needs populations in the Lee County area for over seven years.
